The Scanlon Foundation has been at the forefront of research on social cohesion for more than a decade. It has been instrumental in shaping Australia’s understanding of social cohesion through its Mapping Social Cohesion surveys.
In 2019, the Scanlon Foundation furthered its commitment to research by establishing the Scanlon Foundation Research Institute.
The Institute is an independent research body that is solely dedicated to expanding Australia’s understanding of social cohesion.
It conducts rigorous, evidence-based research that provides a sound basis for informing public policy, academic insights and community practice.
Through its regular publications, videos and podcast, the Institute seeks to make its knowledge about Australia’s social cohesion relevant and accessible to all.
