The Foundation in 2010 is sponsoring a further National Campaign to celebrate the contribution that migrants have made in workplaces throughout Australia.

This campaign will be again promoted as “A Taste of Harmony” and be focused on “Celebrating Diversity at Work”.

“A Taste of Harmony 2010” will be designed to recognize, integrate and celebrate diversity and social cohesion within Australian workplaces. Its aim is:

“to encourage workplaces from every industry, big or small, to participate by gathering colleagues together over a delicious lunch made up of foods from different lands”.

It will take place during the week of 15-21st March 2010, leading up to National Harmony Day on 21st March 2010.

Australia has a great deal to celebrate in relation to the cultural diversity of its workforce and during this week all Australian workplaces will be encourage to become involved in a celebration of the cultural diversity of the people who work within them through a luncheon activity.

We are seeking your organisation’s support to participate in this campaign and/or to invite other organisations to become involved. For ideas on how this might occur you might like to visit the campaign’s website www.tasteofharmony.org.au.
